More rice at Mang Inasal

This could be one of the very few places in the Philippines where there is no rice shortage. You won’t find mile-long lines of people waiting for their NFA rice portion but hungry mouths to feed. And the good news is you get extra rice servings once you dine in. I am referring to Mang Inasal, one of the fast growing chicken inasal restaurants today.

Vanessa celebrated her 30th birthday last July 4 at Amici in Tomas Morato. It wasn’t totally a supergirls night out as Jude also came with us. Van brought her car and she took us to her favorite Italian pizzeria. Braving the wild Friday traffic in EDSA, we arrived there half past eight. Roughly an hour trip from Ortigas.

It was a couple of years back when my friends and I would occasionally hang out at Compass Internet, their neighbor in Robinsons Galleria basement level. I think I ordered one of their sandwiches. Yesterday, I decided to go out to lunch somewhere outside the building and came across Mini-Stop just a block away. I checked out their food chiller for some appetizing meal. I opted for a bacon sandwich but changed my mind when I saw Mr. Choi Kitchen there. I remembered what Ferdz told me last week about their new microwave food line being sold at Mini-Stop. So I bought their vegetable fried rice with sweet and sour pork at P48.
