We Ate Baby Brother
My friend, Neth, works right across the building where I hold office. It’s great to have someone you know is there near you. We actually had lunch together for a number of times already. Two weeks ago, we went to Brothers Burger for merienda.
Store Details
Brothers Burger prides itself in offering charbroiled gourmet burgers. It is owned by the three Jose brothers - DJ, Martin and Quito. They already have around 15 branches, including franchise stores, all over the country. This store along Meralco Avenue in Ortigas, with a blazing cold air condition that nearly frosted my veins, could seat around 30 people.
What’s On My Order Slip
I have known Brothers Burger for their expensive burgers (like Hotshots). So I started looking for something cheaper when I checked on their menu board. Prices range from P90 to P180. They don’t have a value meal promo but a merienda size burger they call “Baby Brother” at P48. We ordered two and two french fries at P50 each.
Service Factor
When we arrived at the store at around 4:30 p.m., there were only two people eating. Two counter personnel were busy packing up something for delivery. They seemed glad when they saw us entering. I asked the guy about the banner outside the store that says “quick bite”. I thought it was a burger but it turned out to be vanilla ice cream. We waited around 5 minutes to receive our orders. After we ate and left, no one said thank you.
Yummy Meter
Baby Brother was a bit tastier than an ordinary burger. I think it was good. The french fries were like those you order from Wendy’s.
Facilities Check
The store is clean, air condition was too cold for a store that is nearly empty. The color quality of their wall poster featuring green salad was like that of an airbrush. Colors looked flat and dull. It’s like featuring a garden to eat. Now, who would want that?

Brothers Burger (no mayo) + fries.. that’s what I usually order.

I find it expensive but a better alternative. Although I remain a Hot Shots fan.
