Bad weather and Krispy Kreme

Honey-glazed and caramel-filled donuts
You’ll find Manila’s weather in PMS mode these days – extremely hot at noontime and all of a sudden, stormy in the afternoon. And for some obvious reason, I found myself taking shed at the nearest Krispy Kreme twice already until the tempest was over. Everyone at home knows I never bring umbrella with me not because I don’t own one. I’m just plain lazy. I had my feet swimming in my shoes in two occasions already – last weekend at Robinsons Galleria and then yesterday at Bonifacio High Street.

Original Kreme with Vanilla

Krispy Kreme at Robinsons Galleria
It’s very rare you’ll find me lounging inside a donut slash coffee shop unless circumstances brought forth by my inane laziness forced me to. That’s why it took me long to decide which to order at Krispy Kreme because having a variety of donuts to choose from does confuse me. On my first visit at their Galleria branch, I ordered their Original Kreme with Vanilla minus the coffee beans for P92. Yesterday at their Bonifacio High Street branch, I had the honey-glazed and caramel-filled donuts all for P68. In these two outings, I think I have just fed into my bloodstream half kilo of sugar and a glass of fat without an ounce of guilt.

Heavy rains and lightning tore up the gray skies at Bonifacio High Street

I agree with you. Krispy Kreme is expensive for a donut.
