Unveiling Secret Recipes
It was one of those days when my friend, Renz, and I surrender to those occasional cravings for good food. Given the limited time in our hands, Renz took me to Secret Recipes at the 4th level of Shangri-La Plaza mall for dinner.
Secret Recipes recently opened at the mall judging from its fresh look and predominantly red and white interior. Food photos decorated their walls just enough to make your mouth water. It’s a restaurant cafe serving a variety of Asian menu.
I ordered grilled mushroom chicken. It has a special mushroom sauce served with herb rice and fresh garden salad on the sides. Renz ordered Thai style fried rice with fresh shrimps and shrimp paste served with King prawns, fresh salad and tom yum soup. We also ordered a slice of cheese chocolate dessert.
My grilled mushroom chicken was good but there wasn’t extraordinary about it. I wasn’t really sure how Renz found her Thai style fried rice. But the tom yum soup tasted great for me. The cheese chocolate dessert was just a fantastic finale to a heavy dinner.
Was there really any secret at Secret Recipes?
It’s in the name.
